Backend & Platform Engineer

01The role

Intract connects to Aircall and Vonage and takes audio and text through its own API, transcribes each conversation as it arrives and hands it to the AI pipeline. That ingestion runs as TypeScript workers on Azure Container Apps, with infrastructure defined in Bicep and data hosted in Europe.

You will make that platform reliable, observable and ready for many more integrations.

02What you will do

• Build and run the ingestion workers in Node.js, TypeScript and Hono
• Add new integrations: webhooks, OAuth, signature verification, backfills and retries
• Own our Azure infrastructure as code (Bicep): Container Apps, Blob Storage, Front Door, observability
• Run CI/CD with GitHub Actions, database migrations and promotion across DEV, UAT and PROD
• Turn our security and GDPR commitments into working systems: retention, purge, audit logs

03What we look for

• 4+ years building backend systems in production, ideally in TypeScript / Node.js
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud (Azure preferred) and infrastructure as code
• Experience with queues, idempotency and failure handling in distributed systems
• A security mindset: secrets, least privilege, signed webhooks
• Fluent English; French or Dutch is a plus

04Nice to have

• Telephony or email APIs (Aircall, Vonage, Microsoft Graph)
• Audio processing or speech-to-text providers
• Supabase or Postgres operations at scale
